Our Work
During the last few years, we have successfully built and remodeled dozens of kitchens, with several of those being outdoor kitchens. If you’re looking for a certain flavor of the work we do, you’ve come to the right spot! Here are some of our favorite Orlando Outdoor Kitchen that we built in the greater Orlando area.
Winter Park Outdoor Kitchen
This stunning galley-style outdoor kitchen has everything you need for a summer BBQ.
We love the galley layout for this kitchen, because it has lots of space. Multiple people can be cooking at the same time– one person prepares drinks, one person grills.
On one side of this kitchen, we have the prep area. This side has an ice maker, which is an absolute must during the summer!). It also has a set of refrigerator drawers, some additional storage space, and a sink. Now for the other side, which we call the business side. Here, we have a ventilated 36 degrees DCS grill, with a custom hood designed by NatureKast. We added a double burner next to the grill, so you can saute vegetables or boil pasta, while using the grill.
We’re so grateful that we were selected to help transform this outdoor space into a marvel of modern technology and design.
Veranda
This amazing kitchen project was a collaboration effort. We worked with Mark Rash Interiors and Bomar Construction to bring this outdoor kitchen to life. This kitchen features an open concept plan, with a U-shaped kitchen layout, a dining area, and a living space centered around a TV and fireplace.
For the kitchen, the homeowners selected NatureKast cabinets, with a weathered graphite finish. These cabinets are completely weatherproof to withstand the Florida humidity. The outdoor kitchen includes a beautiful stainless steel grill, a refrigerator, and a sink, as well as lots of cabinet space. As you can see, the kitchen is covered, but leads directly out to the backyard. It feels like an extension of the house, while also staying true to the summer vibes.
Graphite Outdoor Kitchen
When we work with brands like NatureKast and Alfresco, we know we’re going to get the very best quality. For this project, we teamed up with the homeowners to create an outdoor kitchen that is functional and suits their lifestyle. They chose NatureKast cabinets, in a graphite finish.
Since NatureKast cabinets are made from cast resin, they last much longer than wood or other materials. It has the same look and texture as natural wood, but it’s much more durable. In fact, NatureKast has a fishtank in their factory, where they keep two of their resin doors, completely submerged in water. They’ve been underwater for over three years, and they look brand new. No warping, bending, or water damage.
Once we decided on the cabinets, we knew the Alfresco 36” grill would be the perfect fit. Alfresco grills are like the Cadillacs of your outdoor kitchen. They work exceptionally well, and elevate your space from normal to extraordinary.
Along with the grill, the owners selected a power burner, also designed by Alfresco. This power burner is so powerful, it could launch a small spaceship into orbit. It is three times more powerful than other power burners, which makes it a perfect option for cooking wok, frying turkeys, or boiling crab legs.
Combined with an outdoor refrigerator and plenty of cabinet space, this is one of the most powerful and impressive kitchens we’ve designed.
Outside or Inside
At first glance, this kitchen might not look like it’s outdoors. Believe it or not, it’s actually a covered patio. This kitchen features a grill, with a powerful ventilation system hidden in the hood above it. We also included a refrigerator, plenty of cabinet space, and a cabinet surround style.
If you’re interested in designing an outdoor kitchen that’s not in the open air, either in a covered porch or under a roof, remember that you can choose from any style. We love how this kitchen combines the outdoors with a traditionally indoor kitchen style.
The Most Important Elements of an Outdoor Kitchen
While you’re looking at these examples of our previous work, you might be wondering what you can include in your own outdoor kitchen. Perhaps some of these photos gave you some inspiration. Or, you’re simply wondering, “Is there anything this team can’t do?”
Well, we can’t make pigs fly. But we can help you design the outdoor kitchen that meets your needs, dreams, and budget. Here are the most important elements to consider when planning an outdoor kitchen.
Appliances
One of the most exciting parts about designing an outdoor kitchen is choosing the appliances. The options are practically endless.
Do you want a grill? A double burner? A power burner? How about a refrigerator, or an ice maker? Do you want any add-ons for your grill, such as a rotisserie?
At Outdoor Kitchen Guy, we carry some of the leading brands in outdoor kitchen appliances, including Sub-Zero Wolf, Alfresco, Blaze, Hestan and others.
You will feel like a professional chef when you use quality appliances.
Cabinets
As you can probably tell, one of the most important parts of an outdoor kitchen is the cabinetry.
We believe that the cabinets you choose will predict how long your outdoor kitchen lasts. If you pick a cheaper option, your outdoor kitchen might need repairs after a couple of winters.
Our favorite brand for outdoor cabinetry is NatureKast, which offers 100% weatherproof cabinets. They also offer a wide range of color options, so you’ll always be able to find something that fits your style and vision. Cabinets are especially important for outdoor kitchens, because you want to have enough storage space. You don’t want to constantly run back and forth from your indoor kitchen to your outdoor grill.
When we plan your kitchen, we make sure to include plenty of cabinet space, so you can grab what you need, when you need it.
Lighting
Even though the kitchen is outdoors, you still want to consider the lighting. What kind of lighting options are you interested in? Does your outdoor kitchen have a roof or some other canopy over it?
Remember, lighting is a great way to define the mood and feel of your Orlando outdoor kitchen. If you have tiki torches and a fire in the firepit, that offers a different feel than a modern chandelier. You can also get creative with different places to add lighting, like shelf lighting.
When you start thinking up ideas for your Orlando outdoor kitchen, consider what mood you want to inspire with your kitchen area. We’ll work with you to make sure the lighting creates the right effect.
Flooring
Another important factor to consider is the flooring. Will you have tile floors, or brick, or concrete? While options like brick and tile can offer a classy look, they can be expensive to replace if you change your mind in the future. Also, if you have a pool, consider how slippery the tiles could get. Most people choose to go with a paver or tile floor for an Orlando outdoor kitchen. We’re happy to discuss this with you, to find the best options for you and your family.
Seating
And of course, no Orlando outdoor kitchen would be complete without some seating options! Your options for seating arrangements are endless. You could pull up a few chairs to the kitchen countertop, like a bar seating style. If you have an outdoor fire pit, you could center your guests around the fire pit. Or you could add an outdoor couch and chairs to create an outdoor living room, which can double as a dining area.
